Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe director of the Office of Marketing and Public Relations will oversee, coordinate and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products for the college.
Additionally, the director oversees the creation of press releases, articles, marketing materials, content management of the website and other written communications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and public relations plan.2. Manage the college's website, social media, digital marketing campaigns, email, and print/electronic publications to ensure brand consistency.3. Coordinate and/or cover photography and videography for college events.4. Lead the production of high-quality promotional materials, including digital, print, and multimedia content.5. Lead and mentor the marketing and public relations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.6. Cultivate strong relationships with media outlets.7.Serve as official point of contact for college communications and handle crisis communications, providing leadership and direction to manage the college's response to crises.8.
Development and maintenance of standard operating procedures for all marketing and public relations activities.9. Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the department's operating budget.10. Maintains knowledge of emerging products and services.11. Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field. Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in developing strategic initiatives. Knowledge of technology trends in marketing/public relations arena. Superior organizational skills and ability to work with minimum oversight. Experience in a leadership role.
