    Title: Technical writer

    Location: San Carlos California (Onsite Only)

    Duration: 40/week || 6-month project

    Job Description:

    • The Manufacturing Technical Writer on the Client Manufacturing Operations Team will author and edit all manufacturing technical publications. Defines, creates, and updates the technical documentation associated with labor time, service, logistics, maintenance, body repair, electrical diagrams, harnesses, and parts guides to support the Manufacturing Operations team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create remove/repair/replace documentation for multiple vehicle platforms
    • Create wiring diagrams, tooling documentation, and diagnostic test plans
    • Create documentation for assembly, training, hardware testing, and other manufacturing procedures
    • Communicate closely with the general assembly & prototype teams to collect and review content
    • Interface closely with the hands-on technical team to understand the true complexities

    Qualifications:

    • 4-6 years' experience as a technical writer
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience with writing and editing
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Proficiency with Google Suite
    • Ability to capture and retouch digital photographs
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Exhibit high attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task and manage workload to achieve project deliverable deadlines
    • Ability to approach the role with a can-do, team-player attitude

    Bonus Qualifications:

    • Experience in the automotive and/or high-tech industries
    • Experience with CATIA, JIRA, Confluence, Dozuki
