    Description
    The Events Manager will oversee the special events efforts to support revenue generation and sales strategies for their assigned venue(s), including implementation and execution of operational procedures that achieve the goals related to the ideal brand status, direct sales, and the full execution of the services needed for all events. The Events Manager is accountable for the operation of the venue(s) and the successful execution of those events.


    JOB DESCRIPTION

    1. Develops a pro-active sales plan including sales calls and presentations, property tours, attending applicable industry events, and engaging in other client prospecting in order to increase sales.

    2. Achieves revenue goals that are set forth in the annual budget while maintaining all expenses associated with special events. Researches, analyzes, and develops special event programming that maximizes profits for special events.

    3. Serves as primary client contact from point of sale to the execution of the events, including managing the contract process, distributing detailed event information to clients, and providing assistance and guidance as needed to operations.

    4. Hosts all tours for clients and vendors, collects final payments and insurance documentation, and gathers all event information to distribute to building staff.

    5. Effectively communicates all event specifications to operating teams to ensure proper execution of all events, including appropriate communication with Property Management, Security, Operations, Engineering, and Cleaning.

    6. Obtains feedback from clients following each special event to determine and analyze client satisfaction, organizational performance, and event-related risks and liabilities.

    7. Maintains the relationships and performance of all preferred and exclusive vendors, selects new vendors, produces and disperses vendor contracts, hosts site inspections for vendors, and relays all relevant events and venue information to vendors to ensure they are following venue rules and guidelines.

    8. Inspects and oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of all function spaces, public areas, and service areas to the applicable venue(s). Coordinates with Cleaning, Painting, Electricians, and Engineering to ensure venue(s) are maintained in pristine conditions at all times.

    9. Responds to all event and film and photography inquiries.

    10. Monitors changes and new developments in the special events industry.

    Compensation is based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

    Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for an annual performance bonus that is based on individual and company performance.

    Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for a discretionary weekly, monthly and/or quarterly bonus based on budget.
