Assists in coordination of day-to-day operations.# Works as Permanent Charge Nurse implementing the plan of care; within the concepts of the Licensed Registered Nurse curriculum; with consideration for safety in practice; according to established prioritization of needs; documenting and communicating nursing interventions and responses of patient(s) to care.# Evaluates patient(s) responses to nursing care rendered; documents and communicates evaluation data to appropriate health care team members; contributes to the modification of the nursing plan of care based on ongoing evaluation.# Coordinates orientation of new staff to ensure clinical competence.
Assist with orientation of float and agency personnel.# Assists in holding staff accountable for hospital, nursing and unit policies and procedures, competencies and process improvement initiatives.# Assists in the education and preparation of nursing staff for accreditation visits ( IDPH # TJC).# Coordinates unit based staffing assignments on a shift by shift basis to achieve high quality and cost-effective care.# # Performs both essential and marginal job functions in a safe manner as identified by Saint Anthony Hospital and the respective department while adhering to the Hospital#s confidentiality norms and standards.
