received a Bachelor’s in Science in biology from Indiana University. Ialso received a Master’s of Science in biology and during this time Imeet my best friend, and soon afterwards me and her married. Aftercompletion of my Master’s degree, I obtained my medical degree fromIndiana University School of Medicine. Next, I completed an InternalMedicine Residency at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.During residency we welcomed the birth of our son Sylvester Barnes V.Upon graduation from residency, I worked as an attending hospitalistfor one year, followed by a fellowship in nephrology at LoyolaUniversity Medical Center. Upon completion of my fellowship, I washired on as faculty, and completed subspecialty training inInterventional Nephrology. Currently, I practice InterventionalNephrology at both Loyola University Medical Center and Hines VAMedical Center, where I have worked for the past five years. Inaddition to my clinical duties, I provide regular medical school andresidency teaching and hold the rank of Assistant Professor ofMedicine at Loyola University School of Medicine.

• I answer e-consults for the interventional nephrology service
