    Description

    General Summary of Position

    MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is actively recruiting for a Research Assistant to join their team on a PRN basis.

    Note: The hours for this position may vary, and this position does not offer benefits.

    Under direct or close supervision, provides technical lab and clinical research assistance to the research team to facilitate a variety of research activities including pre-clinical work, study development and protocol management, literature review, participant screening and recruitment, data collection, analysis and dissemination, and database management.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in a health, science, or other related field preferred
    • Associate's degree in a health or science related field or equivalent education/experience required

    Experience

    • Undergraduate and/or work experiences that demonstrate aptitude for research facilitation required
    • Previous work in a research setting preferred

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
    • Must be flexible, highly motivated, dedicated and capable of working both independently and on various team projects in a diverse setting.
