    Description

    Job Description PRC Baker Places is a non-profit residential treatment agency that has provided the San Francisco community with alternatives to institutional care since 1964.

    Our direct care professionals provide counseling and case management services to previously homeless adults living with co-occurring diagnoses of chronic mental illness and substance use disorder.

    All agency services are provided from the philosophy of social rehabilitation which integrates teaching daily living skills in a safe and healthy environment.

    Our mission is to help people affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use, or mental health issues better realize opportunities by providing integrated legal, social and health services that address the broad range of social risk factors that impact wellness and limit potential.

    The Project Director is responsible for the overall management, clinical and rehabilitations services, staffing, facilities and fiscal operations of one or more adult residential treatment programs.

    Project Director is responsible for relations within the agency between PRC- Baker Places and the community.

    The Project Director manages the flow of clients into and out of the programs and advocates for and responds to client's treatment and rehabilitation needs.

    Ensures agency policies and procedures are followed and participates in their development.

    Maintain a social milieu that is positive and respectful to all clients and staff

    • Possess a working knowledge of psychiatric, substance use and HIV related disorders
    • Possess experience working with electronic medical record systems for documentation and assessment of clients (AVATAR/EPIC)
    • Supervises Assistant Directors and ensures that all staff hired are trained and scheduled for regular supervision to agency and contractor requirements
    • Responsible to ensure the timely completion of probationary and annual performance evaluation of all personnel at the program
    • Works directly with community providers, in particular ZSFGH Emergency Department and Psychiatric Emergency Services at Hummingbird programs, to ensure consistent and safe client admission to the program and maintain contractual UOS production
    • Ensures that client records, electronic and paper, are maintained in accordance with agency clinical and fiscal regulatory policy and standards.
    • Works with Quality Management Department in monitoring and improving documentation quality and timeliness and training
    • Effectively and consistently use PRC-Baker Places Personnel Policies and the SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement in all staff encounters, actions and decisions
    • Conduct a weekly staff meeting where client and program issues are addressed and trainings occur
    • Manage internal client food and program supplies
    • Responsible for ensuring the physical cleanliness of facility is maintained at a high level
    • Ensure required admission, discharge and census documentation is submitted in a timely manner to PRC-Baker Places' data and claims and intake departments
    • Attends agency management meetings and demonstrates initiative and participation
    Bachelor Degree in Social Science with focus on mental health and/or substance use disorder populations along with 6 years of managerial experience

    • Demonstrated experience for 3 years in working with multiple community healthcare providers/systems
    • Demonstrated experience for 3 years supervising staff who deliver direct care services to individuals in treatment for mental health and/of substance use disorder care
    • Ability to hold, express, demonstrate, motivate and sustain agency vision and interact at the agency decision making level and with the Senior Management Team.
    • Experience in areas of program management including clinical, fiscal, personnel and facilities administration
