- Perform duties to fabricate, install and repair conveyor belting and systems
- Be available to travel to Belt Power field installations at customer sites for extended periods of time, ranging from a few days to months at a time
- Install and vulcanize lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting
- Build/repair belts and conveyor belt components
- Maintain work area and install trucks in a neat and orderly condition
- Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain stock area, follows sales orders
- Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies
- Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations
- Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions
- Represent Belt Power in a professional manner at all times
- Other duties as assigned
- Be available to travel for extended periods of time
- 1+ yr. proven experience in field service work, maintenance, or other hands on work
- Organization and prioritization skills; attention to detail
- Strong mechanical background
- The ability to interpret and verify precise measurements using a tape measure
- The ability to read basic mechanical drawings
- Basic math skills and computer skills
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Forklift License
- Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to adapt to changing situations
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as ability to work at heights and tight space
- Overtime hours and weekend work may be required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, capable of driving a large pickup truck and/or van.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
- Maintenance, belt tech experience preferred

Job Summary:
As a Traveling Belt Technician at Belt Power, LLC, you will perform a variety of duties to install customized heavy-duty belts and rubber components at customer sites.

Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a fabrication shop environment. The noise level is moderately loud. Generally well-ventilated and well lit. Shop employees may be required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy equipment and strict safety regulations are required.
Physical Demands:
The Traveling Belt Technician may lift and / or move up to 75 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and / or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, install, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position in a shop. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional weekend work.
Pay Range: $ $23.00 an hour
