Salary:
$230,215
License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State AND certification in general psychiatry by the ABPN.
Limited Permit Option:
You may be eligible for appointment to Psychiatrist 2 if you have licensure in another state or Canada AND a current limited permit to practice medicine in New York State.
If appointed, you must obtain your license within one year of the date your limited permit was issued. Failure to do so will result in removal from your position.
Duties Description New York State Psychiatric Institute is seeking an Attending Psychiatrist who will provide supervisory and clinical oversight of its Psychiatric Institute Residency Clinic (PIRC).
The PIRC is a community no-fee clinic that serves approximately 400 patients and is the primary outpatient training site for the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry's residency training program.
The Attending Psychiatrist will train and supervise residents in safe and appropriate administration of psychiatric care while upholding the Institute's mission to provide culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, and evidence based psychiatric services to adults in Northern Manhattan.
