- Support the team in achieving daily, iteration, and release goals and delivery objectives
- Implement, enforce and continually improve SAFe/Agile/Scrum principles/ practices
- Assess team's Agile maturity and coach teams to higher levels of maturity
- Provide mentoring and training for the team on Agile processes, methods, and practices
- Proactively seek opportunities to use process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to facilitate improvements to team processes
- To be a coach and have a positive attitude. This is not a project manager position, although our SMs are leads that enable the product teams to succeed
- Coaching, leading, facilitating meetings, holding the team accountable, being accountable for the process and the product.
- Providing servant leadership style support to team - personify the ASF approach
- Facilitate positive team dynamics to help maximize team performance
- Identify and remove impediments to help protect the team from outside influences, which could otherwise interfere with the team's ability to deliver
- Experience in managing professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments
- Lead, direct and review the work of a team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Manages a team with a focus on policy, implementation of strategic initiatives and execution of day-to-day deliverables.
- Partner with the Government Product Owner to gather requirements and manage and refine the backlog
- Track the Agile Product Team's Agile metrics, report results to Release Train Engineer, and raise risks timely when metrics are not meeting QASP quality levels
- College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10 years of software development and implementation experience with at least 5 years supporting Agile/SAFe scrum.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid experience in incremental software development projects using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Scrum approach
- Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle
- Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle to include requirements management, decomposition, refinement, development, release management, and deployment
- Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner and success working in an Agile SAFe Scrum Team
- Active or Interim DoD Secret clearance
- Willing to obtain SAFe Certified Scrum Master certification within 90 days of starting
- Active SAFe Certified Scrum Master
- Multiple years leading Agile teams
- Application development experience with ERP solutions like PeopleSoft
- Experience supporting Federal government or DOD projects
- Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
