    Position Summary Description

    To perform required planning studies and assists in the development of long-term financial forecasts.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent required. Requires knowledge of electrical utility and/or resource planning principles and planning software tools. Electrical utility or related industries experience preferred.

    Essential Functions

    • Performs studies in the areas of generation planning for analysis of Seminole's long-term resource plan, comparisons among alternative resource options, and resource optimization studies.
    • Assists in the collection and validation of data inputs to the long-term production costing model.
    • Assists in the development of assumptions for use in the financial model for long-term financial forecasts.
    • Assists in the development of Seminole's Ten-Year Site Plan for submittal to the Florida Public Service Commission.
    • Assist in the evaluation of alternative resources for support of major project financing from the Rural Utility Service (RUS).
    • Stays abreast of new technical developments, regulatory changes and requirements in the areas of generation planning.
    • Fulfills data request for various Southeast Regional Council (SERC) and Florida Reliability Coordinating Council (FRCC) activities.
    • Performs other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.

    Physical Requirements

    Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.

    Working Conditions

    Some travel and work outside of normal business hours. While working in certain areas of the plant there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment.
