    Traveling Superintendent - Omaha, NE, United States - GPAC

    Description

    Because of their continued growth, a General Contractor seeks a TRAVELING COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT to join their team. This company allows you to LIVE ANYWHERE and fly you to your job site, pay living and trabel expenses and get you home for 2 long weekends per month.     The TRAVELING COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT is responsible for providing leadership and management to team's assigned projects safely, profitable, and timely. The Superintendent manages various teams and job sites and works in a manner consistent with standards of quality and integrity and will participate in the all of the construction phases of the projects assigned.

    Traveling Superintendent Key Responsibilities Include:

    1. Responsibility for project success, including safety, schedule, profitability, quality.
    2. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
    3. Champions the orderly, timely completion of projects in the field.
    4. Coordinates with the Project Manager the means and methods required for the successful and profitable execution of the work.
    5. Assures coordination with the Project Manager and the procurement schedule with the Project Engineer. Pays special attention to prevention and documentation of delays or changes.
    6. Uses available reports to manage costs and prepare accurate cost projections.
    7. Reviews and executes all change orders.
    8. Completes close-out requirements and punch lists promptly.
    9. Provides feedback to estimators for future bidding or negotiations, especially subcontractor performance evaluations.

    Traveling Superintendent Job Requirements:

    1. Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical training and/or related experience.
    2. 7 Years Experience in Multi-family managing construction projects and a thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, and cash flow procedures is essential.
    3. This manager-level can manage large projects of a complex nature and possibly multiple projects.
    4. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
