    Although we are a Wichita, Kansas based GC we work in over 34 states. We are currently looking for someone who lives in or could be based in the OKC/Tulsa/Muskogee or surrounding area, as a Superintendent to join our team for several projects in the Omaha/metro area.     Job Description:

    Superintendent II leads field construction activities and personnel ensuring assigned projects meet budget, schedule, quality and safety objectives. A knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in construction; building codes and requirements; and OSHA safety standards is required. Strong experience in ground up construction, petroleum/gas station experience is highly desired. Our Superintendents can geographically live anywhere, as a requirement to be a Superintendent with us you must be willing to travel nationwide, we go where our clients need us to build.

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma/GED
    • Lives in the OKC/Tulsa/metro area or within close vicinity to these cities
    • Willingness to travel nationwide
    • Able to read blueprints
    • OSHA 30
    • 5+ years in Commercial Ground Up Construction highly desired
    • Proficient in Divisions 1-16
    • Fuel / Petroleum experience or Restaurant experience highly desired

    Performance Expectations:

    • Willingness to travel nationwide with the commitment of getting home twice per month, or as often as the schedule allows for. If the jobsite is near candidates home, there is an opportunity to go home more frequently. We do not make any guarantees geographically on where any jobsites will be located, they are assigned as superintendents are available.
    • Works with the project manager and owner's representatives to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications and local jurisdiction codes.
    • Reviews submittals.
    • Communicates site conflicts, schedule and quality issues effectively to the project manager.
    • Supports project manager in the negotiation of claims and change orders.
    • Submits RFIs to project manager
    • Actively and continually monitors project equipment needs, utilization and maintenance requirements.
    • Maintains daily housekeeping of trailer and job site and ensures tools, material, equipment, project site and trailers are secured at the end of each working day. Gets unneeded items off rent and off site.
    • Ensures tools are operated correctly, working properly, or locked out / tagged out.
    • Maintains open communication between all subcontractors to ensure all required labor, materials, equipment, and inspections support project activities and project schedule.
    • Understands all subcontractors' scopes; assures subcontractors maintain schedules and quality standards and meet contract requirements.
    • Ensures that project safety protocols are implemented and followed by Zernco and subcontractor personnel; facilitates weekly safety meetings; ensures personal protective equipment is properly used.
    • Participates in jobsite safety assessments and assists in performing incident or accident investigations and follow-ups
    • Submits accurate daily job reports to the office reporting job progress, subcontractors on site, safety concerns, employee time, per diem, training, as well as purchases made with purchase order number; submits weekly photos of job site progress; and submits receipts daily.
    • Performs project close-out and ensures punch list is completed in a timely manner.
    • Participates in post project review and at that meeting produces red line drawings and submits warranties gathered on site.
    • Mentors Project Engineers, Foremen, and Carpenters assigned to the project.
    • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, twist, reach, walk and sit for long periods of time. Ability to manually dig, drag, pull, and push various materials and objects on the jobsite.
    • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50lbs, and push and pull up to 100lbs.
