    Supervising Personal Service Coordinator - Fresno, United States - Turning Point of Central California

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Personal Service Coordinator Supervisor reports to the Assistant Program Director and is responsible for the leadership, coordination, development, and management of all Personal Service Coordinator/Case Manager activities.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Provide direction and training to Personal Service Coordinator/Case Manager to ensure they are familiar with and understand individual services and support plan for each individual served.
    2. Provide direction and training to Personal Service Coordinator/Case Managers to ensure staff are familiar with, understand, and comply with existing agency policy, procedures, and program design requirements.
    3. Provide direct services, including case management, to individuals served. Such services may include group counseling, individual, and or other forms of direct service.
    4. Communicate closely, in a systematic fashion, with agencies and significant others involved in the rehabilitation of individuals served.
    5. Maintain and submit all documentation and billing as it relates to services provided to program participants.
    6. Implement orientation and training of staff in regards to case management activities.
    7. Train staff on the importance of monitoring individuals served to ensure the person served is at the appropriate level of care.
    8. Ensure that the program is operated in accordance with Turning Point program policies and procedures.
    9. Facilitate intake process and monitor referrals, under direction of the Program Director.
    10. Provide the Program Director with timely reports on any unusual occurrences that might impact the overall program operation or the health and safety of individuals served or employees.
    11. Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
    12. Will drive on company business and transport individuals served as needed.
    13. Physical presence at the office is required.
    14. Ensure direct report staff follow the agency's timecard, PTO (Paid Time Off), and California's rest and meal period policies. Will monitor staff timesheets to ensure they are completed accurately.
    15. Employees are expected to manage their cell phone use so that the Agency cell phone stipend covers all business usage. Any calls not covered by the stipend are to be made on a company landline phone.

    ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

    1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited or regionally approved college or university in the area of social work, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, criminal justice, or a related field.
    2. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the management of supported housing or rehabilitation for difficult to serve families with barriers to successful independent community life.
    3. A minimum of two (2) years' experience in the performance of a Personal Service Coordinator or a position which has similar responsibilities and duties.
    4. Experience in supervision of staff, hiring, and program administration as evidenced by successful prior employment history in a supervisory position for a minimum of one (1) year.
    5. Knowledge of best practices regarding the treatment of clients with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and Dual-Diagnosis individuals.
    6. Ability to supervise staff and work effectively with mental health system clients of diverse cultural backgrounds.
    7. Current certified training in emergency first aid procedures and CPR, preferred.
    8. Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to levels of consumer housing.
    9. Ability to be certified in Emergency First Aid procedures is preferred.
    10. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
    11. Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.
    12. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
    13. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.

    ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR BILINGUAL SKILL

    1. Communicate effectively in written and spoken Spanish.
    2. Required ability to communicate effectively with monolingual Spanish speaking clients and families for all clinical purposes.
    3. Assist with phone calls for Spanish speaking clients.
    4. Required to provide language translations for case managers and Physicians on a periodic basis.
    5. Minimal adequate competency in the Spanish language as evidenced by successful passage of the TPOCC Spanish Competency Test.
    6. Other translation tasks as required.

    • Monolingual: Class 150 ($69,193.21/annually)
    • Bilingual: Class 155 ($67, $72,722.73/annually)
