- Oversee all financial matters for assigned shared chapters.
- Lead monthly financial review meetings with assigned chapters.
- Collaborate with financial manager on assigned chapter to ensure accurate and timely submission of invoices.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze and advise on existing, new, and pending funding.
- Assist organizational teams with budget creation and quarterly reviews.
- Review OTPS submissions by chapter staff to confirm correct account & grant coding.
- Support with accounting tasks that may include but are not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, reclasses, posting transactions into Financial Edge, etc.
- Assist Controller and other Finance staff with month-end closing process.
- Perform Financial Edge data entry & quality information management for financial grant compliance.
- Ensure appropriate grant documentation is prepared & maintained to support reporting & annual audits.
- Support Controller and auditing firms during annual Audit/990 questions & documentation needed for assigned chapters.
- Maintain positive working communication with all organizational teams i.e. Systems, Programs, Development, HR
- Oversee payroll allocations on federal, local, and state grants and work with HR to highlight and correct grant payroll allocation discrepancies.
- Support and/or collaborate on all other tasks as assigned.
- At least 5 years of non-profit accounting and finance experience.
- Demonstrated experience of meeting objectives.
- A dedicated team player that can excel at complex tasks.
- At least 3 years of Blackbaud Financial Edge.
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, required.

ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
Founded in 1992, After-School All-Stars is a national non-profit organization which provides free, daily afterschool programs to more than 140,000 children in need at 725 school and community sites in 19 chapters across the U.S.
to be healthy and active, to graduate high school and go on to college, to find a job that they love and to give back to their communities.
We achieve this by identifying and fueling our students' individual passions, tying their interests to tailored academic support, enrichment and health and fitness programming.
A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY:
The Senior Finance Manager will work as part of a team to ensure the efficient and effective running of the ASAS day-to-day activities and work collaboratively to ensure the compliance of all State, Federal and Local government grants.

The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and detailed-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing position demands are key. SALARY AND BENEFITS:
This is a full-time exempt position with a starting salary of $85,000-$95,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience of the individual candidate.
