Job Summary:
We are looking to bring an experienced tree care professional on-board in a supervisory role as the Crew Production Manager.
This position's primary responsibility is ensuring that every day is executed to the highest standards of tree care with respect to safety and customer service.
The Crew Production Manager is always focusing on, safety, production efficiency and profitability.To do this, this person will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing 20+ field team members and ensuring they have the tools and training necessary to continue to drive excellence at STC.
The right candidate for this position must be self-driven, highly responsible, adaptive and have a demonstrated history of positive leadership.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Project Managers, field crews and office to ensure efficient project success and customer satisfaction/ retention by actively reviewing work orders and strategizing crew deployment
Review all Work Orders within 24 hours to ensure work order accuracy, proper staffing and equipment deployment.
Hiring, performance reviews, training, coaching and daily management of all field personnel, including Crew Leaders, Climbers and Grounds Crew, Safety and Training Coordinator and Production Coordinator
Ensure proper safety protocols are being followed by all crews and that training is documented; maintain records for annual filings; conduct incident / injury audits
Lead Safety Meetings & Trainings
Drive Production Goals and receive bonus based on production performance
Jobsite / project quality control through inspections and onsite trainings
Morning Logistics oversight- ensuring that the optimal staffing and equipment is dispatched.
Step in to help meet production goals as needed, ex: truck driving, price checks for sales, team etc
Assist climbers when technical aspects of a project arise that exceed their limit or skill level; opportunity to train and help find solutions to ensure the job gets done on budget and safely
Participation in management level planning and strategy meetings by representing the Production Department on the Leadership Team
Report directly to STC owners with a weekly meeting cadence and regular check ins
Qualifications:
ISA Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
TRAQ or ability to obtain within one year of employment
TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP) or ability to obtain within one year of employment
Requirements and Skills:
Minimum 5 years in a leadership position in the tree care industry (Preferred, not required)
Extensive knowledge of safe and proper tree care; including pruning techniques, PHC/IMP, climbing & rigging systems and stump grinding
ISA Certified Arborist (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hiring)
Valid WA State driver's license and clean MVR
CRP, EMT or WFR Certification
CDL Class A (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hiring)
Ability to maintain calm under pressure, and level-headed in stressful situations with clients and/or team members
Good judgment skills; fast, safe and efficient decision-maker
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and capable of keeping good records
Demonstrated ability to work as a liaison between different departments
Computer proficiency, including Google email, Microsoft office suite, and ability to learn Seattle Tree Care's CRM system
Basic financial understanding; experience with responsibility for job profitability
Eagerness to learn, grow and continuously implement and improve company systems
The ability to perform light work
The ability to respond quickly to sounds
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
