A well-established Company in the Houston area is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate is a proficient communicator with expertise in accounts payable and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

$70,000-$80,000

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

Establish procedures to create efficient and streamlined AP processes.
Identify process deficiencies and implement changes to improve the AP cycle.
Establish relationships with vendors to assist with obtaining discounts based on volume purchased and/or prompt payment terms.
Reconcile accounts with vendors monthly.
Manage employee and company credit card program.
Review all invoices in the system verifying accuracy.
Generate check runs on weekly basis, and coordinate with other accounting groups to ensure disbursements are made properly.
Maintain confidentiality on company financial matters.
Ensure 1099 and tax related matters pertaining to vendors are handled appropriately and timely.

Requirements:

4+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable position
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, including but not limited to: Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
Demonstrate ability to take initiative
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in AP operations across multiple entities or subsidiaries within an organization.
