    Job Description

    87 Sussex, an upbeat and high-end restaurant in Jersey City, is looking for a part time host/hostess. Dinner shifts are currently available and weekend brunch shifts will become available in May. This host/hostess will be responsible for:

    Assisting the rest of the front of house staff with setting up the dining room for service

    Reaching out to guests to confirm reservations, answering the phone, and responding to voicemails

    Setting the guest seating chart in our reservation software OpenTable

    Greeting and seating guests throughout service in accordance with an agreed-up strategy with management

    Assisting with coat check

    Updating OpenTable throughout service as guests arrive, are seated, and complete their meal

    Maintaining customer information and notes in OpenTable

    Keeping menus and other items at the hostess stand clean and organized
