    GROW YOUR CAREER WITH OUR TEAM Woodlawn's Landscape Company , a Mariani Family of Companies has an opening for a full-time Shop Supervisor to work in our Mundelein, IL location.


    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Shop Supervisor is responsible for supplying the field crews with equipment and materials needed to complete daily tasks.

    This position also involves moving materials and equipment in and out of the warehouse and yard in an orderly manner as well as daily maintenance of the shop.


    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Demonstrates highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adheres to company's policies and procedures, and complies with applicable laws, government rules and regulations.
    • Maintains the shop in clean and well-organized, efficient manner.
    • Operates all enhancement equipment and tools.
    • Ensures that all maintenance and enhancement equipment is in working order; sends to vendors for repair as needed.
    • Orders and receives appropriate quantity of plant materials and hardgoods as required to ensure crews can complete work orders.
    • Receives materials being delivered to the shop; ensures they are the correct product, the proper quantity and in good health/condition.
    • Works directly with the seasonal color department to coordinate the delivery and unloading of seasonal color at the shop; stages materials by job for a more efficient loading of equipment to the customer site.
    • Manages the care (e.g., watering) of plant materials in the yard until they are loaded for the appropriate work order.
    • Responsible for coordinating with the seasonal color inventory person to pull faux materials for work orders; ensures materials are deducted from inventory.
    • During the winter, works with the snow removal crews as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • This position requires a high school diploma, GED or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience.
    • This position requires over 1 year up to 2 years of prior professional experience, with the field experience to identify plants and hardgoods.
    • Valid Driver's license
    • Computer skills are not needed but a candidate that shows proficient skills is helpful.
    • Basic arithmetic is required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of whole numbers) for this job.

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
