    Job Summary

    The Director for Enterprise Project Management will play a pivotal role at Albany State University by providing integrated direction, management, and leadership in the administrative and business planning, budgeting, and automation efforts of the portfolio of major projects impacting multiple, strategic core functions and components across the University and/or strategic institution priorities to ensure a holistic approach in support of the institution¿s mission, goals, objectives and compliance requirements.

    Responsibilities
    • Directs and integrates the activities of multiple, major project operations; ensures that project efforts are generally cohesive, consistent, and effective in supporting the University¿s mission, goals, and strategic plan.
    • Develop and establish policies, strategies, and operating objectives consistent with those of the institution to ensure efficient and effective implementation of major cross-university projects and/or projects tied to strategic institutional priorities.
    • Participates in and oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of individual project objectives and short and long-range plans; develops tracking and evaluation programs to assist in the accomplishment of established project goals and objectives. Performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.
    • Consults, coordinates, and serves as principal liaison with senior University officials on strategic matters of policy, interdivisional interaction, and capital development, improvement, and management.
    • Collaborates with University leadership and administration to establish programmatic goals and priorities for business and technology solutions to meet individual component and institutional needs.
    • Directly manages a team of professional and support staff through lower-level managers to establish and measure project management, process improvement, and risk management.
    • Manages the working relationships between project leadership, University administration, principle business and operational stakeholders, and high-level external constituencies.
    • Collaborates with the President, Executive Director, Office of Internal Audit, Ethics and Compliance, and other relevant stakeholders as it relates to project development and deployment at an institutional level.
    • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor
    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline

    3+years in project management, business analysis, operational excellence roles, or related field

    Preferred Qualifications

    Master¿s Degree

    Proposed Salary

    Salary range is from $69,462 to $90,000

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    Knowledge, skills, and ability to create and deliver effective presentations for executive-level communications, information sessions, and training purposes

    Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead and oversee cross-functional teams

    Ability to exercise judgment with defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action

    Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, and project management skills.

    Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one-time meeting assigned deadlines

    Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position

    Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
