Minimum Qualifications


Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 25 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.


Duties Description

  • Responsible for multiple projects of medium scope as outlined in the Design and Construction Strategic Plan.
  • Design and Construction liaison for OGS Project Management Office.
  • Assist objective owners and workgroups across multiple functional business units with development of project scope, project plan, and identifying risks.
  • Utilize existing project management tools and templates to ensure standardized documentation and reporting across the organization.
  • Develop documents and associated documentation strategy to be utilized for reporting purposes.
  • Track and provide updates on all strategic initiatives outlined in the Strategic Plan utilizing Smart Sheet.
  • Monitor programs progress of projects to ensure targets and schedules of deliverables are met.
  • Manage reporting on a wide portfolio of initiative projects with varying complexity, while providing regular updates on progress and key project variables.
  • Accountable for managing multiple projects and deliverables, along with managing any ambiguous problems.
  • Assist with the development of subsequent strategic plans for Design and Construction.
  • Perform a full range of supervisory duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Some travel is required.
