    Description

    We are looking to add an experienced Senior Associate Actuary to our team

    In this role, you would be responsible for providing analytical and actuarial support for the Company's goals, including ratemaking, reserving support, statistical analysis and reporting, data management for the business unit, and assisting leadership with the training and development of teammates.

    Actuarial study program and exam support are built into this role.

    **This a hybrid/onsite role, requiring at least 3 days of on-site attendance in Fort Worth, Texas, with the potential for more on-site days required during the initial on-boarding period. **

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain analytical tools and models using Microsoft Excel, Access, Visual basic, SQL and other relevant programs.
    • Independently perform in-depth actuarial and statistical analysis.
    • Analyze rating variables and recommend pricing changes.
    • Maintains extensive knowledge of insurance products, operations, and existing regulations.
    • Independently provides technical, actuarial analyses in the areas of pricing, reserving, and analytics.
    • Administer, design, secure, and maintain databases to assist in managing information for the business unit.
    • Collect and refine appropriate data for actuarial analysis and ensure its reasonableness and accuracy.
    • Design and develop models to support business needs.
    • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports for other departments and senior management, as well as oversee programming solutions.
    • Identify and determine data and tools needed to achieve accurate, meaningful end results.
    • Document and communicate assumptions, results and alternatives to actuarial department and other business units.

    Qualifications

    • Generally, six or more years of relevant experience.
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in mathematics, statistics, finance, or actuarial science
    • Insurance or finance background required.
    • Passed four or more actuarial exams.
    • Holds ACAS or FCAS Credential.
