- Underwrite and price large individual risk construction accounts
- Responsible for loss rating accounts to determine primary loss costs on an individual account and group basis.
- Work with our fronting carriers to review pricing, coverage and terms and conditions of new and renewal business.
- Provide direct oversight for day-to-day operations of the policy administration guidelines for each captive.
- Work with internal partners in the claims, risk control, and account and program management departments to ensure all new business is vetted and internal processes are addressed.
- Highly effective project management skills with a self-starter aptitude and the ability to be self-directed.
- Exposure to actuarial models.
- Construction underwriting experience required.
- 7+ years of experience in commercial underwriting.
- Strong understanding of Auto, General Liability and Workman's Comp lines of business.
- Must have underwriting experience with an insurance carrier.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Must have college degree

Primary lines of business that we handle in the captive are Auto, General Liability and Worker's Compensation. The company offers market leading access to all major insurance markets in the US, UK and Canada, as well as exclusive programs and in-house binding authority for property & casualty, financial lines, personal lines, life insurance, medical stop loss risks, travel/accident and health, affinity business and warranty coverage.
We serve commercial companies, non-profits, public entities, associations, unions and individual risks. With offices over 50 locations throughout the US and Canada, and more 1,600 employees. Recognized as one of the top program managers in the country, providing agents, brokers, and self-insured entities with captive and alternative risk solutions. We are at the forefront of the development and management of captives and alternative risk programs.
