    As a Data Analyst, you will interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports. You will develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Your primary goal will be to help stakeholders make data-driven decisions by transforming raw data into actionable insights.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Analyze and organize raw data.
    • Build data systems and pipelines.
    • Evaluate business needs and objectives.
    • Interpret trends and patterns.
    • Conducted complex data analysis and reported on results.
    • Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
    • Build algorithms and prototypes.
    • Combine raw information from different sources.
    • Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
    • Identify opportunities for data acquisition.
    • Develop analytical tools and programs.
    • Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects.

    Aviation-related items:

    • Experience or familiarity with data engineering projects in the aviation industry, including knowledge of aviation data sources, such as flight data, aircraft performance data, maintenance records, or air traffic management data.
    • Understanding aviation regulations and standards (e.g., FAA regulations, ICAO standards) related to data management, safety, and operational requirements.
    • Previous exposure to aviation-specific data analysis tools or platforms, such as FlightAware, FlightRadar24, or aviation-specific data APIs.
    • Knowledge of aviation-specific data formats and protocols, such as AIXM, FIXM, or other industry standards for exchanging aviation data.
    • Experience working with stakeholders in the aviation industry, including airlines, airports, regulatory agencies, or aerospace manufacturers, to address industry-specific challenges and requirements.
    • Familiarity with aviation-related use cases for data analytics and machine learning, such as predictive maintenance, route optimization, airspace management, or flight safety analysis.
    • Participation in aviation-related forums, conferences, or professional associations to stay informed about industry trends, challenges, and best practices in data management and analytics.

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
    • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
    • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python).
    • Hands-on experience with SQL database design and Postgres.
    • Great numerical and analytical skills.
    • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field; a master's is a plus.
    • Data engineering certification (e.g. IBM Certified Data Engineer) is a plus.
    • Work closely with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to deploy and manage data infrastructure components such as databases, data warehouses, and big data processing frameworks.
