    Our client is a growing multi-state defense litigation firm is seeking a Paralegal at their Dallas location. The firm specializes in complex litigation and practices in a variety of areas of the law including construction law, healthcare liability, oil and gas, product liability, trucking/transportation, catastrophic injury, construction defect, premises liability, and insurance coverage. The right candidate is a team player, is not afraid of hard work, and wants to try cases. Candidates with a strong litigation background and/or insurance defense experience, are preferred.     QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of 4 years of litigation experience needed.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat
    • OnCue or other trial presentation software is essential.
    • Knowledge of CaseMap, TextMap, and TimeMap is also beneficial, as is experience with WestLaw, LexisNexis, and Accurint.
    • Qualified candidates will be able to multitask and support multiple cases simultaneously.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Candidates should have experience with billing and time entry
    • Drafting legal documents
    • Preparing discovery including e-Discovery, records requests and review , redaction of documents, vetting experts, conducting background searches, mediation, and trial preparation.
    • Additionally, candidates must have a professional appearance and demeanor and be able to work in a confidential environment.
