- Coordinate activities with Powin customers, third-party vendors, and internal workgroups to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery of commissioning activities
- Lead onsite BESS commissioning and acceptance testing with support from remote commissioning engineers
- Provide on-site technical advice and training to ASPs regarding the installation and commissioning of Powin's equipment and systems
- Lead daily onsite job safety analysis (JSA) tailgate meeting as per JSA/work order scope
- Complete and submit all required documentation and reporting including daily reports, checklist, field reports, commissioning reports, scheduled service reports, and quality issue reporting
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, including resourcing, logistics, and scheduling as required
- Work directly with HVAC, Fire Suppression System (FSS), Power Conversion System (PCS) and other OEM equipment certified technicians
- Support the development and updates of installation, commissioning and troubleshooting documentation by providing well documented and constructive feedback
- Participate in any continuous improvement activities

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Certified Electrician, or equivalent electrical experience. Renewable energy industry
experience (wind turbine, solar, battery energy storage or equivalent electrical power) preferred - Experience with creating and maintaining project schedules related to electrical construction
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers, members of a project team, contractors, and subcontractors to
complete commissioning activities - Ability to use electrical test equipment such as digital multimeter, meggers, and multi-process calibration equipment
- Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA, NFPA 70E, and 70B
- Ability to read electrical and/or mechanical drawings and specifications and understand terms and conditions of project/site contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Strong computer skills with MS Office software (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Power Point), Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration and project management tools
- Good verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge and experience with SCADA protocols (i.e., DNP3 and Modbus) is a plus
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, SEL PLCs, Relays and meters, SCADA, Ethernet switches, media converters (fiber and serial) and digital Input/output devices is a plus
- This is a traveling position working from customer locations. May require ability to travel up to 4 weeks in duration
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as those rated to CAT4
- Frequently required to: stand; walk; balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity for close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must use hands and fingers to feel; reach with hands and arms; speak; hear, and be exposed to high and low temperatures
- Ability to monitor and manage work in variable weather conditions

Summary:
The Installation Technical Advisor will be responsible for providing expert guidance and coordination of Powin's Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) equipment and systems. This position will work on-site with Powin's customers and Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) by leading, addressing, and ensuring resolution of all work order activities.
