- Providing care as instructed by a nursing supervisor, which includes but is not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, taking and recording vital signs, and assisting with height and weight measurements where necessary
- Providing care in line with the patient's care plan, helping with daily tasks like feeding, meal preparation, changing linens, light housekeeping, providing transportation to medical appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant program
- Current, valid state certification in good standing
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- A minimum of one (1) year of documented healthcare experience is a must (unless in an approved Mentor Program)
- Licensed driver with a reliable, insured automobile
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Empathy towards client needs
- Proficient in English communication
- Treating clients, staff, and the public with respect and maintaining a positive image
- Working effectively in a team
- Ensuring confidentiality and security of client medical information
- Ability to perform various physical activities depending on client mobility, including standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
