    The Sr. Project Engineer will be located out of McKinney, Texas. They help manage all activities associated with the construction of a project which may include projects in ColoradoThis will include managing or coordination with a team of project coordinators, administrators, and other project or area managers.     As the Project Engineer, your focus will be on the oversight of the Heavy Civil bid package on a large green-field wastewater treatment facility in McKinney Texas.More specifically, we are a self-performing contractor completing the mass grading, drainage, roadway preparation, and concrete pond liner included in the overall plant construction.These tasks include organizing the acquisition of materials, equipment, and workers, planning for costs, supporting the project team on various tasks, and communicating directly with the client.The skills you bring to the organization include a robust background in heavy civil construction, coupled with exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a drive for excellence.In return, we provide a competitive salary commensurate with experience, complemented by an industry leading benefits package.This role presents a chance to cultivate a rewarding career within a leading civil construction enterprise.

    Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

    Managing budgets; including internal labor and equipment costs, subcontractors, and materials.

    A clear understanding of heavy construction means and methods.

    Advanced computer skills with the use of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek earthwork takeoff software, and Primavera P6 are a plus.

    Perform quantity takeoffs.

    Solicit and analyze subcontractor and material quotations.

    Prepare and monitor project schedules.

    Issue and administer subcontracts.

    Monthly project progress billing.

    Identifying and addressing field changes.

    Contract administration.

    Work with A/R and A/P on accounts.

    This position will require time in both the office and the field.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    5+ years Project Engineer experience on heavy civil construction projects.

    Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or similar discipline

    A strong understanding of field operations with aptitude for building complex projects and effectively managing workflows.

    Ability to access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Detail oriented and self-starting.
