    Description

    Position Summary

    IT Project Delivery Leader is a senior-level professional responsible for overseeing and managing the successful delivery of IT projects within an organization. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and coordination to ensure that IT projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning: Work with senior management and IT leadership to align IT project delivery with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of IT project managers, coordinators, and other project delivery professionals. Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the successful execution of IT projects.
    • Project Portfolio Management: Manage and prioritize the organization's IT project portfolio, ensuring that projects are selected, initiated, and executed based on their strategic importance and alignment with business objectives.
    • Resource Allocation: Allocate and manage IT resources, including human resources, budget, and technology infrastructure, to support project delivery. Ensure that resources are available and allocated effectively across IT projects.
    • Project Oversight: Monitor the progress of individual IT projects within the portfolio. Identify and address issues, risks, and roadblocks that may impact project delivery. Ensure that IT projects stay on track and within scope.
    • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce IT project management best practices and standards across the organization. Ensure that IT project deliverables meet quality requirements.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with IT stakeholders, including senior management, project sponsors, and clients. Provide updates on IT project status, risks, and achievements.
    • Risk Management: Identify and assess IT project-related risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans. Implement risk management strategies to minimize the impact of potential issues.
    • Budget Management: Monitor IT project budgets and financials. Ensure that IT projects are delivered within budget constraints and provide financial reporting to senior management.
    • Change Management: Manage changes in IT project scope, objectives, or requirements. Assess the impact of changes on IT project delivery and ensure that proper change control processes are followed.
    • Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain IT project performance reports and metrics. Use data to evaluate IT project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practices adoption to enhance IT project delivery processes.
    • Vendor Management: If external IT vendors or suppliers are involved in IT projects, manage relationships and contracts to ensure they meet their obligations and deliver as per agreements.
    • Documentation: Maintain IT project documentation, including project charters, plans, status reports, and project-related records.
    • Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the success of IT projects, identify lessons learned, and provide recommendations for improvements.

    Qualifications

    • Projects are executed in a coordinated and strategic manner, delivering value and contributing to the achievement of business goals.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and IT project management skills are essential for success in this role.
    • Deep understanding of IT technologies, industry trends, and the organization's specific IT project delivery needs.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on computer.
    • Occasional walking between facilities.
    • Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling up to 15 lbs.
