    Sentara CarePlex Hospital located in Hampton, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Oncology Unit.

    Full-time: 36 Hours Weekly

    Shift: Night

    Hours: 7:0 PM - 7:00 AM

    Requirements - one of the following is required:

    • Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
    • Registered Nurse License
    • Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program
    • Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License

    We are a 16-bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care for Solid Tumor Oncology, Hematology Oncology, and Surgical Oncology patients.

    As an RN on this unit, some the services you will provide are as follows:

    Chemotherapy/Biotherapy drug administration (Certification required after 6-months of hire.)
    * Pre/Post-Surgical Care
    * Hospice and Palliative Care
    * Sickle Cell Management

    Sentara CarePlex Hospital is a 224-bed, acute care hospital, and Certified Primary Stroke Center located in Hampton, Va. Sentara CarePlex Hospital provides care through advanced surgical programs, emergency cardiac intervention, fellowship-trained physicians, and the newly-opened. It is also home to the, the area's first dedicated orthopedic hospital, taking specialized orthopedic care to a new level.

    Job Summary

    The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

    Qualifications:
