    About the Position

    The Talent Development Manager (TDM) plays a critical role in the expansion of our new location in Fort Worth. This role is solely focused on developing our talent in the Brokerage division to the highest levels of performance and efficiency. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to build our workforce from the ground up in a $1 billion growth company as we trailblaze new territory.

    The TDM is responsible for facilitating and managing the Logistics Management Training and Talent Readiness Programs to successfully launch new talent into the business. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following, and other duties to be completed as needed, to support the business.

    • Pre-Hire to Hire/Onboarding
      • Responsible for participating in the interview and selection process for the Logistics Management Training Program, striving towards the highest levels of quality.
      • Work closely with business leadership and Talent Acquisition Team to develop staffing plans to meet the talent needs of the business as it grows.
      • Provide feedback and recommendations to drive improvement in selection, onboarding, induction, placement, and development initiatives.
    • Logistics Management Training Program
      • Oversee the Logistics Management Training Program, including planning, preparation, and execution of a best-in-class training experience.
      • Facilitates the learning process to produce high quality trainees with an in-depth knowledge of the supply chain and logistics industry and brokerage floor operations.
      • Maintain a thorough understanding of training trends, techniques and best practices, as well as industry trends and technology.
      • Serve as a key culture champion and evangelist, instilling ITS' values and behaviors in all new hires.
    • AAA Development Program
      • Transition trainees from new hire training to developmental and practical training for success in our brokerage business.
      • Serve as a talent partner for their assigned division training team members through extended education.
      • Develop and deliver best-in-class training curriculum.
      • Ensure each AAA team member is fully trained on negotiation, load coverage, sourcing techniques and load management.
      • Optimize AAA development and Draft Process for efficiency, without sacrificing quality.
      • Act as a liaison between all business leaders in making resource and team placement decisions.
      • Support team onboarding dynamics to ensure this transition is made properly after training is completed.
      • Deliver the best, high-caliber associates to the business in an efficient and meaningful way, speeding the employees to productivity.
      • Instill the ITS core values, intangible qualities, and mentality within each new team member.
    • Reporting, Accountability, Retention
      • Develop and define key metrics and produce a Dashboard on a regular defined cadence for key stakeholders.
      • Provide weekly reporting to leadership team and maintain feedback loops on quality of recruits.
      • Manages the talent pipeline in alignment with business needs and ensures pipeline from recruiting is supporting the needs of the business.
      • Complete projects and initiatives that drive functional excellence for training and development.

    About the requirements

    • Experience in freight brokerage and transportation required. Experience at ITS Logistics may be substituted.
    • 2 – 3 years experience in learning and development preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.

    • Strong skillset in Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Builds rapport with others easily and creates an environment for learning with positive energy.
    • Leadership abilities to coach and mentor raw talent the ITS Way including driving ownership and accountability as well as technical competency.
    • Ability to deliver a message to their audience in a way that provides context, tells the story and take command of a room.
