    About the Role

    Yieldstreet is seeking an Associate to join our Portfolio and Risk Management team full time. You will be working with/reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management.

    The Portfolio & Risk Management team plays an integral role in Yieldstreet's investment process, from conducting pre-transaction diligence and underwriting at the investment level to overseeing portfolio-level concentration and risk management. We collaborate with various teams across Yieldstreet, including Investment, Product, Marketing, Finance, Valuation, and Operations.

    Portfolio & Risk Management's Core Responsibilities:

    1. Investment Process: Challenge risk assumptions and conduct independent deal-level risk reviews.
    2. Portfolio Construction & Risk Analytics: Monitor post-funding investment performance at both the deal and portfolio levels, employing top-down portfolio management and bottom-up investment level strategies.
    3. Investor Communications: Aid in communicating investment performance using accessible language and data visualizations.
    4. Workout/Restructuring: Coordinate strategies and assist third-party advisors in managing underperforming investments.

    This role will be based out of the NYC office and you should expect to be in the office at least 3 days per week.

    What You'll Do:

    • Support the team's agenda, including investment process management coverage and assisting with platform underwriting/manager selection, portfolio construction guidelines, and oversight of post-close investments.
    • Review and enhance deal and portfolio-level key performance metrics to monitor deviations from original investment theses across a diverse set of investment strategies.
    • Monitor, evaluate, and develop portfolio-level and investment-level reporting to identify risk factors.
    • Contribute to the development of risk analytics and the continued evolution of investment management frameworks.
    • Collaborate across functions to achieve firm-wide objectives, including origination, underwriting, structuring, operations, technology, and marketing.
    • Assist in the day-to-day management of the Yieldstreet portfolio, including workout/restructuring in collaboration with numerous external advisors.

    What you'll need:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. CFA or CAIA is a plus
    • At least 4 years of finance, portfolio/asset management, credit underwriting, or risk reporting experience, with at least 2 years of experience in a credit/debt investment focused role at a bank, investment manager, or consulting firm
    • Experience in financial statement analysis, financial modeling or financial valuation; preparing financial information, interpreting financial performance and assessing risk exposure
    • Ability to articulate financial concepts and information in both verbal and written forms
    • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
    • Deal execution oriented with a readiness to roll up your sleeves and manage a process end to end
    • Ability to work seamlessly in a cross-functional team environment spanning multiple disciplines and geographies
    • Excellent prioritization skills to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines
    • Passion for innovation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides. Experience with asset management databases, SQL, and dashboard creation is a plus.

    Compensation:

    • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $110k+ (Actual salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Compensation package also includes generous, bonus, benefits and equity.
