    DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a
    Insurance Accounting Manager


    Essential Functions:
    Work with Finance and IT teams to understand and document the flow of transactions through the insurance administration system and help refine reporting and reconciliation processes to meet carrier requirements
    Creating monthly journal entry for premium-related activity for upload into our general ledger
    Prepare monthly carrier reporting and remitting funds to the carrier
    Ensuring that monthly commission payments are timely and accurately sent to producers, including annual profit commissions
    Perform and/or review monthly bank and other balance sheet reconciliations, investigate any discrepancies, and resolve issues
    Review aged receivables report and resolve aged receivables as appropriate
    Manage year-end 1099 reporting process and ensure timely filing
    Assist with carrier audits
    Answer questions from carriers regarding balances and resolve discrepancies
    Manage any necessary unclaimed property filings
    Assist in other accounting projects and tasks as needed


    Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):
    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    8+ years of experience in an accounting department, preferably with an insurance agency or carrier. Previous experience in a supervisory role desired.
    Ability and willingness to learn new software / systems
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    Self-motivated and proactive
    Ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment
    Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
    Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (experience with lookups and pivot tables a must)
    Previous experience with insurance administration systems (particularly Guidewire) desirable
    Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies
