    Division: Association of Pickleball Players (APP)
    Reports to: President, APP

    Overview
    The Association of Pickleball Players | The APP Tour is dedicated to providing the best pickleball tournament experience for all. The tour is officially sanctioned by USA Pickleball and focuses on developing the next generation of champions through youth initiatives.

    The Position
    The APP Finance and Accounting team is seeking a Senior Director of Finance to oversee financial planning, analysis, reporting, and strategy. The Senior Director must be based in the Chicagoland area and will work out of the APP's corporate headquarters.
    We are looking for an experienced finance and accounting leader with the ability to work in a start-up environment. The ideal candidate has managed a team of accountants and has experience interfacing with investors.

    Responsibilities
    • Embody and reflect the APP's culture as the leader of financial operations
    • Direct activities of junior team members and collaborate closely with the President
    • Assist in meeting financial reporting requirements and coordinate with external accountants
    • Assess and improve accounting operations and maintain a professional demeanor
    Manage, train, and mentor junior team members with responsibility for goal setting and feedback.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; CPA preferred
    • Minimum seven years' FP&A experience
    • Experience interfacing with the investor community
    • Strong technical accounting background with knowledge of US GAAP
    • Excellent Excel skills required
    • Extensive knowledge of working with accounting systems
    • Innovative and experience in process improvement
    • Professional, organized, with time management skills
    • Excels in a fast-paced environment
    • Interest in commercial sports, entertainment, lifestyle offerings is a plus
    • Polished, professional demeanor and enthusiastic about the business
