Description

Well known utility product manufacturing company in St. Louis is looking for someone to join their finance team as a Staff Accountant. This candidate must have experience as a staff accountant. This is a hybrid, 3 month contract position. If you have at least 1-2 year's of experience as a staff accountant and are eager to find a new contract role apply today

salary: $ $55.42 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Prepare analysis of product costs, purchase price variances, freight charges.
Manage capital expense programs, working with project managers to understand actual costs versus budget and anticipate potential cost overruns.
Perform month-end close routines, including preparing journal entries, reconciling inventory perpetual records, and preparing account reconciliations.
Assist with monthly margin and expense variance analysis; support the controllers to prepare financial cost analysis.
Analyze financial transactions for errors or deficiencies, takes action to resolve / correct disconnects, and implements improvements to prevent recurrences.
Support project accounting reporting and analysis by ensuring proper set-up in the ERP system and monitoring transactions to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Special projects as assigned.
