Job DescriptionLHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Staff Accountant in the St. Louis area. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated ability to perform various accounting-related functions.

Title: Staff Accountant
Type: Direct Hire/ Permanent
Location: Downtown, St. Louis
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Lunch: 1 Hour
Parking: Paid

Compensation: $60,000 to $65,000 (flexible upon experience)

Benefits: Health/Dental/Vision/401k/PTO/Holidays/Early out days/Lunch caterings etc.

Job Description:

Spearhead the identification, assessment, and implementation of process enhancement initiatives aimed at bolstering efficiency, outcomes, and cost reduction within the accounting domain.
Handle billing responsibilities for clients and resolve discrepancies when needed.
Manage specific data extracts crucial for benchmarking purposes.
Support tax return and audit preparation by promptly gathering requested information.
Conduct financial analysis and reporting upon request from the CFO.
Execute various accounting tasks, encompassing monthly financial system closure and reporting, analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and completion of bank reconciliations.
Aid in accounts receivable follow-up procedures.
Address billing inquiries and investigate billing discrepancies.
Maintain vendor records in the accounts payable system.
Prepare and maintain data pertinent to 1099 reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred, but not required
2+ years general accounting preferred
Proficiency in mathematical and analytical skills essential for the identification and resolution of accounting issues, ensuring precise and impactful financial analysis.
Demonstrated knowledge of and capability to apply general accounting principles.
Exceptional attention to detail paired with adept multitasking abilities necessary to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with attorneys, staff, vendors, and clients, while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding client and firm matters.
Proven ability to work autonomously, efficiently organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet objectives.
Proficiency in utilizing accounting information systems, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software and equipment. Advanced Excel and/or 3E software preferred

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
