    Department Information
    Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) serves the Institute and its more than 14,000 employees through strategic counsel, employee engagement, and essential human capital management operations. As the people's unit, GTHR is engaged throughout the employee's lifetime at Georgia Tech. Our team works with sensitive employee information and assists in the management of complex employee issues.     What we do:
    Process payroll and maintain employment data for approximately 14,000 active faculty, staff, and students
    Strive to attract, recruit, and retain the best talent in the marketplace.
    Provide immigration, labor, and tax support required for foreign national faculty and staff to work at Georgia Tech and support employees performing services overseas.
    Leverage a market-driven compensation structure to attract and retain employees.
    Advise employees and managers regarding work performance and conflict management.

    Job Summary
    Collect and analyze HR-related data and prepare routine and ad hoc narrative and graphical reports describing the information, findings, and conclusions from data for institutional and other purposes. Prepare various reports and data submissions to the University System of Georgia and other campus reports units. This position will be responsible for creating and designing dashboards, financial models, performance metrics, executive-level reporting packages, and general oversight of HR analytics.

    This position will interact on a regular basis with Staff.
    This position typically will advise and counsel Staff.
    This position will supervise N/A.
    Required Qualifications
    Educational Requirements

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Required Experience

    Four to five years of job-related experience.

    Required Qualifications
    Job Duty 1 -

    Work with HR and Campus units to design and develop functional specifications to build reports and define user data needs.

    Job Duty 2 -

    Analyze data sources and develop/ produce user-defined reports and report enhancements.

    Job Duty 3 -

    Identify and gather requirements for testing, develop test plans, and ensure the development of test scripts. Coordinate functional user testing as required. Verify the collected data is within the required quality standards.

    Job Duty 4 -

    Analyze functional needs that drive reporting solutions. Collect, verify, and analyze data. Prepare and communicate results.

    Job Duty 5 -

    Assist in the collection and reporting of key performance indicators.

    Job Duty 6 -

    Assist teams within HR in the development of data analytics for the purposes of process improvement.

    Job Duty 7 -

    Respond to requests for HR-related information from within and outside Georgia Tech.

    Job Duty 8 -

    Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Preferred skills and experience include working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), PeopleSoft HCM, Oracle databases, Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, Business Analyst in HR, and HR Practitioner.

    Proposed Salary
    Pay Range: $61,618-$83,799/yr

    Job Grade: I4

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    KNOWLEDGE

    This position requires a working knowledge of Excel, including formulas, charting, graphics, and pivot tables.

    SKILLS

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Preferred skills and experience include working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), PeopleSoft HCM, and Oracle databases. Preferred experience with Power BI, Cognos, or Tableau.

    ABILITIES

    Ability to integrate Excel with other software tools. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing requests and needs.
