Description

Our client in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.

This is a direct hire/full-time/hybrid position

Salary range based on experience: $80K - $90K

Basic Requirements:

At least 3 years of financial close process and financial reporting
Accounting degree (bachelor's or master's)
A finance degree or MBA is considered only when they have relevant work experience
Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with ERP software
Problem-solving skills
Great communication skills
Full onsite work environment to start. Hybrid opportunities available after training

Responsibilities Include

Primarily responsible for inventory, payroll, fixed assets, and financial close process.
Assist inventory count compilation and perform recount audit. Maintain proper inventory sub-ledger.
Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of reconciliations of general ledger accounts and posting journal entries. Perform financial analysis.
Prepare monthly financial statements and various financial reporting
Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget and update financial forecasts
Process payroll
Prepare and file state sales tax and CAT returns and issue forms 1099
Provide audit and tax filing assistance to CPA firm
Document and update standard operating procedures
Support process improvements
Perform ad hoc projects as assigned
