    Description

    Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

    Location: Columbus, OH

    Responsibilities: As a Senior Staff Accountant you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients growth through acquisitions. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Understanding the business and financial transactions of acquisitions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and our clients accounting policies.
    • Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and internal control enhancements, and collaborating with acquisitions to implement these changes.
    • Performing various accounting tasks for acquisitions, such as journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and generating monthly financial statements.
    • Reviewing financial statements from acquisitions for consolidation into our clients overall financial reports.
    • Analyzing monthly EBITDA reports, investigating variances, and providing insightful commentary to management and stakeholders.
    • Mentoring junior accountants within the team.

    Requirements: Our client is seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a degree in Accounting.
    • Experience in Insurance Accounting is highly desired, and public accounting experience is a plus.
    • Proficiency in computer applications, especially the Microsoft Office Suite, and comfort working in a paperless environment.
    • Demonstrated experience working effectively in teams, ideally in a leadership role.
