Description

Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is looking for a Senior Accountant that is highly motivated and has strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

Track financial status for projects and subcontractors.
Prepare and analyze financial statements.
Develop and monitor annual and monthly budgets.
Assist with audit inquiries.
Handle daily accounting functions in accordance with GAAP and DCAA principles.
Develop monthly accounting reports for current projects and review with the leadership team.
Manage and maintain facility leases.
401(k) administration and compliance.
General ledger entries and various department reconciliations in Unanet.
A/P and A/R Payroll.
Supervise accounting staff.
Monitor vendor payment agreements.
Review GL entries for accuracy.
Manage insurance policies.
Various other operational duties.
Train and mentor accounting staff.
Ensure deadlines are met.
Assist in developing and implementing internal accounting controls and improving department processes.

Requirements

5 -8 years financial, accounting, and management experience required.
Experience with basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel, WORD and PowerPoint.
Proficient in finance, budgeting, cost control principals, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work independently.
Driven individual with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail are a priority.
Flexible and adept at multi-tasking in a deadline sensitive environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
