Representing the heart of the LA Phil, the organization's staff and administration support performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, the Judith and Thomas L. Beckmen YOLA Center, and The Ford, offering a unique experience to the audience.
The role of Senior Gift Planning Officer is crucial in driving fundraising activities aligned with the mission and strategic priorities of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, especially following the milestone celebrations of 100th anniversary and the Centennial of the Hollywood Bowl.
Position Elements:
The SGPO's engagement in the gift cycle management involves initiating contact with potential donors, conducting solicitation conversations, and maintaining stewardship contacts with donors while demonstrating a positive and empathetic demeanor.

The ideal candidate must have 5-7+ years of experience in major gifts or gift planning, preferably in the arts sector, with a proven track record of meeting goals and implementing successful fundraising strategies. A Bachelor's degree is required, while advanced degrees are preferred.
Key qualifications include the ability to manage a diverse portfolio, close gifts, and develop cultivation strategies for donors across varying levels. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with a customer-service orientation, are essential for this role.
