    About the Role:


    Blue Owl is looking for an Associate to join the Legal Analyst team in the New York (Manhattan) or New Jersey (Short Hills) office.

    We are looking for a dynamic and proactive team player who will work closely with members of the Blue Owl Compliance, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Investor Relations, Operations, Technology, and Investment Teams.


    The ideal candidate is a highly detail-oriented and organized individual who can manage multiple projects and who is excited about supporting a Legal team that covers a broad range of issues.

    We are looking for candidates who are intellectually curious and interested in the intersection of law, technology, and finance.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with attorneys on day-to-day legal support to the Private Wealth and Institutional Business Development groups
    • Review, draft and track distribution and placement agent agreements with third party intermediaries in the United States and globally including in respect of business development companies, REITs and private funds
    • Support business and legal department on key initiatives, including coordinating with global colleagues and other stakeholders on finalizing distribution agreements and other time sensitive matters
    • Draft responses and organize materials in response to due diligence requests
    • Review client facing documentation
    • Provide support to the day-to-day operations of the Legal department
    • Develop and maintain trackers and materials using data from across the organization
    • Review non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) in coordination with external counsel
    • Develop strong working relationships and partnerships with other teams to support client needs
    • Ensure that all Legal team records are stored in secure, organized file systems to support shared knowledge and compliant record-keeping
    • Perform special projects and other responsibilities for the Legal team
    • Coordinate signatures for documents and various materials

    What's Required:

    • 3+ years of experience at major law firm or in-house legal department, prior experience working on distribution and placement agent agreements preferred
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Strong working knowledge of , Salesforce and Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
    • Demonstrated drive for results and ability to prioritize risks and projects to focus on what's important in a fast- paced, entrepreneurial environment
    • Excellent planning and organization skills; meticulous attention to detail is a must
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Solutions-oriented problem solver Strong work ethic and willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done
    • Team player with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity to learn more


    It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $100,000 to $115,000.

    Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
