Project Accounting and Revenue Compliance SME at SMX in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Project Accounting and Revenue Compliance SME (3346)at SMX (United States SMX is seeking a Project Accounting and Revenue Compliance SME to report directly to the Director of Projects & Revenue Accounting.
As a SME of Project Accounting and Revenue Compliance, you will be responsible for the project lifecycle in Deltek Costpoint and revenue recognition.
This role will be a key support to the accounting team to ensure the project setup is timely, captured in accordance with contract specifications, and aligned with company policies.
Responsibilities + Responsible for tracking and reporting of project costs, profitability, and proper revenue recognition on projects + Work collaboratively with the Business Unit Finance Leads, Program Managers, Contracts, and the accounting team to ensure project setup configurations meet the billing, revenue recognition and reporting requirements and aligned with the Company's policy + Coordinate project kick-off calls with Finance, Contracts Administrator and the Program Manager(s) and accounting team to ensure alignment with the project structure + Serve as a liaison between the stakeholders to address questions, investigate project variances and resolve any issues that may arise + Research any unbilled issues to optimize the billing possibilities for the billing period + Support the staff with peer reviewing setup requests + Manage month and quarter end close to resolve issues, flex analysis and other changes in project costs and profitability.
+ Develop processes for revenue, driving accuracy, data quality, and efficiency across + Work across all levels of the organization as the subject matter expert for Revenue Accounting.
