    Financial Reporting Manager ($110,000 - $130,000)

    LHH Recruitment Solutions is actively seeking a Financial Reporting Manager for a leading insurance firm, based in Austin, TX. This pivotal role involves overseeing the preparation and review of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, statutory, and SEC guidelines.

    In addition to possessing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, the ideal candidate will bring 5-8 years of financial reporting experience specific to SEC filings and at least 5 years dedicated to life insurance financial reporting. A strong proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite is essential.     Responsibilities:

    • Prepare, review, and assist in the oversight of financial statements, SEC and statutory filings.
    • Provide support during audits and collaborate on year-end tax reporting.
    • Review external quarterly tax calculations and manage quarterly board report preparations.
    • Analyze financial results, offering insights to both the team and management.
    • Guide and provide oversight to team members to ensure responsibilities are managed efficiently and effectively.

    Client Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting required.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in life insurance financial reporting.
    • Proven track record with financial reporting and SEC filings, totaling 5-8 years.
    • Advanced skills in Excel, including V-lookups and Pivot Tables.
    • Experience with investment management and CPA designation are preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines and work collaboratively across departments.
    • Strong knowledge of SOX, GAAP, statutory accounting principles, and current SEC regulations.
