    The Business Development will lead the strategic development of new business relationships and support existing clients to generate sales opportunities.

    This role will have a deep appreciation and passion for Design and ability to connect WRG products to match customer needs.

    The Business Development Manager must have extensive knowledge of our products and solutions with an engaging presentation style. Frequent networking activity and event engagement is a primary function to build prospective business.

    A successful Business Development Manager will have strong client engagement throughout the entire sales cycle from first point of contact to project completion.

    This role requires a determined, can-do attitude to identify key individuals in the industry to build lasting connections for future business.

    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResearch markets and create strategies to expand in the company's current market A&D, brokers, clients, etc.

    increase customer awareness and continue to position WRG as lead commercial furniture dealerAttend and participate in networking opportunities among architecture and design firms, commercial real estate developers, broker communities, general contractors, industry trade groups, community service leaders and other sources.

    regularly to build up new connections and uphold WRG's mission and values to the business.

    Direct the product strategy as SME of product and design elements in order to educate the client and match their needs accordinglyCross-sell WRG Build product division, design, project management, installation, and other services to promote WRG's offerings.

    Lead showroom tours, conduct presentations, and product demonstrations, as appropriate at various points in the sales cycleTrack sales and outreach activity with prospect customers in stable or growing segments weeklyPromote WRG Marketing campaigns through social media platforms for further brand recognition in current market Consult with assigned accounts and leads to discover and formulate a partnership plan for new businessServe as primary contact resource for external channels i.e.

    A&D, brokers, client, etc. from beginning to end.

    Utilize standards for RFPs/Proposals that are customized to each firm based on their preference of styleNurture internal relationships to improve teamwork processes and increase customer satisfactionDevelop and implement strategies specific to assigned accounts and leads based on client's short and long-term needs for product;Navigate through demanding and high pressures situations as an efficient problem solver and act on appropriate, timely resolution for challenging sales requests Work with Sales Admini team to develop accurate price quotes and coordinate all aspects of sales projectsAssist with prompt and courteous follow-up for payments of sales when necessary or as directed.

    Position RequirementsBachelor's degree required, plus at least 4-5 years' experience in the contract furniture industry Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales or new business developmentSuccessful consultative sales experience or comparable related experience with capital goodsDesire and proven ability to cold call and "hunt" for new businessMust be able to successfully integrate financial scenarios into clients' business processStrong problem-solving skills and high-level diagnosis skillsCapability to influence others and get resultsStrong ability to organize and lead cross-functional teams from various organizationsOrganizational skills to monitor multiple, complex projects simultaneouslyComputer skills including at least a working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to learn product specification softwareCommitment to providing the highest level of customer service
