    About the Position
    Provide support to Management and Field Sales Representatives to further sales of key existing and target accounts as assigned.

    Position Responsibilities
    1. Provide Sales Support:
      • Provide sales and administrative support to management and field sales as assigned.
      • Field incoming calls, provide general information, and product specifications to customers.
      • Follow-up on sales leads as appropriate.
      • Provide product troubleshooting and problem-solving assistance to customers.
      • Gather details concerning any customer quality issues; communicate with Director of Quality and issue RMAs back to customer as needed.
    2. Develop Pricing/Quotes:
      • Develop pricing from Selig GR Price Book for standard and stock parts
      • Work with Purchasing/Shipping to develop freight cost for international shipments where necessary
      • Facilitate development of quotations from custom Pricing Worksheets developed by DSSD
      • Create and send quotations to customers/prospects and cc: FSRs.
    3. Facilitate 5-Ps & Sample Requests
      • Prepare or receive-in 5-P requests, process and file.
      • Identify sample request requirements through customers/prospects, FSRs, and/or SDEs.
      • Enter sample request in the Sample Request Log
      • Assist Lab Technician with gathering of sample components as needed.
      • Prepare sample letters, obtain sample labels, package and ship samples.
      • Provide customer and FSR with sample tracking information.
    Order Entry and Related Functions – Support the Order Entry Process and help facilitate the Manufacturing/Shipping Processes to insure consistent and timely delivery of sales. Provide communication regarding orders between Selig GR and Customers/FSRs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    1. Order Entry and Related Functions
      • Receive-in and log incoming customer purchase orders
      • Initiate the New Part Number Process (Pink Sheet) when needed
      • Enter Purchase order and generate required work orders
      • Proofread / double-check order entry of associate CCRs
      • Follow-up on and facilitate the timely scheduling of customer orders
      • Generate and send customer PO Acknowledgments
      • Update and Maintain Order Entry Log
      • Follow-up on all customer supplied parts to insure they arrive as scheduled
      • Trace shipments of incoming customer supplied parts that may be held-up in customs
      • Process and Move-up/Move-out requests (Blue Sheets) and re-acknowledge to customer as needed.
      • Initiate Credit Applications
      • Process Credit Card orders as needed
      • Provide customers with order status updates as requested
      • Coordinate shipping instructions between customer and Selig GR Shipping.
    2. Manufacturing/Shipping Liaison
      • Attend and participate in daily Shipping Meetings
      • Attend and participate in Production meetings
      • Act as liaison between Manufacturing and FSRs/Customers
      • Act as liaison between Shipping and FSRs/Customers
    3. Other
      • Maintain and update Agreement/NDA files on M: Drive and hardcopy files.
      • Compile customer required documents to set-up Selig GR as a supplier
      • Provide incoming phone coverage as needed
      • Assist Lab Technician with sample preparation as needed
      • Assist in Manufacturing as needed
      • Other tasks and responsibilities as business requires

    Essential Skills and Characteristics
    • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience (min. 3 years)
    • Familiar with office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Well-developed written and verbal communicational skills.
    • Attention to detail
    • Organizational skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
    • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

    Location and Relationships
    • Position onsite in Grand Rapids, MI
    • Reporting to the Director of Customer Care and Product Supply
    • No direct reports
