Position Summary

Our Swim Lessons Instructors are expected to teach swim lessons between the ages of 3 and 17. Swim Lesson dates and times very by the season and types of lessons.
Education Required
High School Education
Education Preferred
Water Safety Instructor Certification
Lifeguard Certification (Preferred but not required)
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
Experience Required
Previous teaching experience for kids 3 to 17 and knowledge of water safety and swimming technique.
Experience Preferred
Competitive swimming background
Skills, Characteristics Required for Position
Instructors must be patient, willing to do anything to help the kids learn water safety and swim skills, be able to think quickly and improvise, and be respectful in communicating to parents and advisers.
Special Working Conditions
Instructors get in the water with their students for swim lessons and show them how to do different skills.

Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
Communicate if there is a conflict with scheduling
Teach and advance students to swim and understand water safety
Come prepared for lessons by reviewing content prior to lesson
