    Title: Physician Assistant - Specialized Surgical Gynecology

    Schedule:

    • Mon: 9: no patients right now)
    • Tue & Wed: 9am-4:30/5p
    • Thur & Fri: just surgeries (didn't give specific times)
    • *Rotating on call for weekends for post op patients*

    Job Description

    Client is a private practice located in the Upper East Side. They operate out of Lenox Hill Hospital, which is affiliated with Northwell Health. Endometriosis is a subspeciality within the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN). We focus on providing the highest quality surgical care within the field. We are looking for a physician assistant to join our team who shares our vision for reproductive health.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
    • Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York State.
    • Board certification through NCCPA
    • BLS/ACLS certification
    • 1-2 years experience in a surgical field or in OB/GYN preferred

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    Practice within the scope of designated privileges

    • Provide direct care to individuals and families
    • Perform diagnostic evaluations (including pelvic exams, gynecologic ultrasounds) and make appropriate assessments
    • Perform basic wound management
    • Perform appropriate documentation of patient care
    • Develop a care plans in collaboration with the physician which include sending medications, prior authorizations, referrals, health care guidance & counseling
    • Reviewing results and surgical pathology
    • Understand and participate in all aspects of perioperative patient care and counseling, which includes weekend rounding responsibilities and triaging call service
    • Have prior experience with or be willing to learn operating room skills to assist in surgery using traditional laparoscopy and the Da Vinci Robotic System.

    Compensation:

    • Minimal starting base salary is $100,000, excluding bonus compensation. depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, hospital need.
    • New Grad: Closer to $100K
    • 5-10 years: $130K
    • 10+ years: $150K
    • Participation in 401K, medical health insurance (doesn't include dental or vision), after 1 year they can enroll in 401(k)
    • PTO: 2 weeks vacation, 5-6 personal/sick days
