    Job Description:

    Position Description:

    Develops data conversions in SAS, Linux, and DB2 environments. Provides data conversion solutions by creating conversion software applications and routines. Develops software applications using mainframe technology. Analyzes data and shares results using SAS EG. Handles data copying following Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) best practices. Adheres to data conversion and implementation standards. Offers business solutions by building complex or multiple software applications.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Offers original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.
    • Designs applications or subsystems for major projects and across multiple platforms.
    • Develops applications for various projects supporting different divisional initiatives.
    • Supports and carries out all testing phases leading to implementation.
    • Aids in the planning and execution of user acceptance testing.
    • Provides comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting various corporate initiatives.
    • Responsible for post-installation testing to address any issues.
    • Creates project plans for projects of moderate scope.
    • Works on challenging assignments and often multiple project phases.
    • Conducts independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting various initiatives.
    • Collaborates with data consultants to receive feedback on internal tools and processes.
    • Enhances job performance workflows.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or similar role) developing conversion software applications and routines, and executing data conversions in SAS, Python, Linux, and DB2 environments.

    Alternatively, Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or similar role) developing conversion software applications and routines, and executing data conversions in SAS, Python, Linux, and DB2 environments.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    Candidate must also possess:

    • Expertise in designing and implementing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes using SAS Enterprise Guide, developing LINUX scripts for ETL workflows and backend jobs, and creating data audit jobs using SAS, SQL, Python, and identifying ETL package bottlenecks.
    • Experience in creating data models and databases to ensure interoperability with Business solutions using SAS, complex SQL queries within DB2, SAS EG, SQL Server, Linux, and Oracle databases, and managing databases on Oracle and DB2 using SQL queries.
    • Proficiency in data profiling, mining, specification, extraction, cleansing, and analysis for large data files using DB2, SAS, SQL Server, Linux, and Oracle, and designing data audit control jobs using SAS, SAS EG, and SQL, and data audit automation tools using Python, Flask, SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.
    • Configuration of continuous build and integration flows using SAS Jobs within Windows and Linux, and automation of application deployment flows.

    Fidelity's working model combines remote work flexibility with dedicated in-person time to meet associate and business requirements.
