    Job Description:

    Position Description:

    Builds Single Page Applications (SPAs) using Angular application component and module coding. Crafts and develops software systems and solutions using Java, C#, , and Python. Designs interactive front-end applications using Angular JS, NGRX state management, RXJS, Redux plugin, and Bootstrap. Develops full stack applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud platforms -- EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, S3, IAM Roles, KMS, EKS, CloudWatch, and Elastic Search and AMS messaging capabilities. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Participates in architecture design teams.
    • Defines and implements application level architecture.
    • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
    • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
    • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
    • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
    • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
    • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
    • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
    • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
    • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
    • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
    • Advises senior management on technical strategy.
    • Mentors junior team members.
    • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
    • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation)\u00A0 designing, developing, and testing highly scaled, secure daemon, and Web applications in UNIX and Linux environments.

    Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and testing highly scaled, secure daemon, and Web applications in UNIX and Linux environments.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    Candidate must also possess:

    • Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing, developing, and tuning high performance lightweight container Web applications using Spring Boot, middle-tier multi-threaded, Kafka, Elastic Search, Dynatrace,\u00A0 JProfiler, MBean, and CS203/JSR 303; securing applications with oAuth; and securing data using encryption and decryption algorithms.
    • DE performing Cloud native application development using Git Stash, uDeploy, Jenkins (CI/CD), Artifactory, Bitbucket, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF); monitoring code quality using Sonar; performing SAST and DAST testing using Veracode; developing DevOps pipelines for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) with externalized config system --Spring Cloud Config; and building log aggregating dashboards using Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, and Datadog.
    • DE performing Test Driven Development (TDD) using Jest, Karma, and Jasmine; performing Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) using testing frameworks -- Cucumber; performing integration testing using Springboot test; and implementing Java unit testing in Junit and Mockito.
    • DE performing Rich Internet Application (RIA) development using angular 10x,\u00A0 NodeJS with TDD, and Karma/Jasmine; designing UX application using Ag-grid, UICL, and angular-flex; converting existing monolithic applications into monorepo-based applications using NX, NRWL, and graphql; performing integration testing using Cypress and Protractor; developing and running secure Cloud-native applications using AWS core services -- EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Elastic Cache, and Lambda; and\u00A0 securing applications in AWS using AWS IAM roles and KMS.
